MALL OF AFRICA

The Mall comprising 131 000sqm of retail leasable area is South Africa’s biggest single-phase shopping mall development. Boasting over 300 shops with substantial anchor tenants and a carefully selected retail mix, the Mall offers a shopping experience like no other. The complex combines the latest international trends, environmentally sustainable materials and technologies. The gross building area of the entire centre is 485 000sqm.

MENLYN MALL – PHASE 2

This phase required alterations to the existing centre. Relocating Checkers and line shops to the Phase 1 section. The existing centre was refurbished while remaining live to be in line with the phase 2 finishes. Phase 2 included the new North parkade. The scope of service included the provision of Project Directors and Principal Agent.

NELSON MANDELA SQUARE

The entire mall was refurbished including office tower lobbies. The scope of the project covered the replacement of all the existing finishes throughout the common areas of the mall and office towers, including the external Square as well as formalising the external seating to the Square for the adjacent food offerings and high-end restaurants while remaining live.

Nelson Mandela Square Reconfiguration and Refurbishment

SANDTON CITY

Sandton City Reconfiguration

This included the entire mall and courts’ refurbishment, as well as the extension to the South East corner. The existing mall was fully refurbished whilst remaining live and trading. A new extension of 30 000sqm GLA was added, creating a “racetrack” on the two existing levels, as well as the new pedestrian entrance known as the Protea Court. This project entailed the relocation of 12 tenants and the creation of 72 new shops.

Sandton City Diamond Walk

The Diamond Walk was created to house luxury brands, linking Sandton City to the Sandton Sun Hotel. The new brands included were Louis Vuitton, Prada, D&G, Gucci, Billionaire and Zegna to name but a few.

Sandton City Food Court Refurbishment

This was the upgrade and refurbishment of the existing food court as well as the replacement of the existing roof. All of the tenants remained live and trading during the project.

Sandton City Reconfiguration and Extensions

Sandton City (Stuttafords) Level 4 & 6 Reconfiguration

Sandton City Level 2 Reconfiguration

This was done to activate level 2 of the shopping centre and is now anchored by the best Hamley’s offering in the country.

Sandton Checkers Court Reconfiguration

The project encompassed the shrinking of the existing Checkers to create space for additional offerings on both level 4 and level 1, as well as an extension of the mall passage. All adjacent tenants traded throughout the building process.

WEST HILLS MALL

The biggest single destination for retail shopping, business and quality recreation in West Africa. It is a 27 700sqm Mall incorporating retailers, a mix of local and international restaurants as well as a cinema complex.

DOUALA GRAND MALL

The Douala Grand Mall is a commercial centre with 18 000sqm lettable space. It includes a multiplex of five cinemas accommodating 1000 seats, a Carrefour supermarket, 160 shops, 22 restaurants, a spa, and 300 open parking and 340 underground parking bays. The Douala Grand Mall has a build floor area of 26 500sqm including 18 000sqm of lettable retail on two levels, with extensive offerings in fashion, lifestyle and services for all age groups. This is set to become the largest mall in Central Africa with 300 000 visitors expected per month.
